Important Events
The most important event in this scene is when Brutus kills himself.
He kills himself because he knew that he would die soon due to the fact that Caesar’s ghost visited him twice.
Brutus commits suicide that way he would die with honor instead of being killed by someone else
Important Lines
"Caesar now be still. I killed not thee with hath so good a will." (Julius Caesar V.v. 56-57)
This line is said by Brutus. He stated this line right before he killed himself and he was saying that he killed Caesar with no good reason. Therefore he is killing his self to gain back his honor. Brutus is apologizing to Caesar before he kills himself
"Our enemys have beat us to the pit. It is more worthy to leap in ourselves, then tarry till they push us." (Julius Caesar V.v. 27-29)
In stead of Mark Antony and Octavius killing us, we should kill ourselves.
This quote is said by Brutus and he is talking to Volumeius
"This was the most noble roman of them all. All the conspirators save only he did in envy of great Caesar. He only in a general honest thought and common to all made one of them." (Julius Caesar V.v. 74-78)
This line is said by Mark Antony.
He is talking to Octavius.
Mark Antony is saying that Brutus, in his own mind, had reason to kill Caesar. He is saying that Brutus thought that he was killing Caesar for the good of Rome.
For Brutus only overcame himself, and no man else hath honor by his death." (Julius Caesar V.v. 62-63)
This line is states by Strato.
Strato is saying that Brutus is the only one of the conspirators that died with honor because he killed himself.
Character Development
Brutus- Originally Brutus was blinded by his cause, then he becomes enlightened and realizes that he made a mistake by killing Caesar. Brutus killed himself because he realized it was the only way he could die with honor and glory.
Mark Antony- Originally, Mark Antony joked that Brutus was an honorable man and he made a fool of Brutus by making fun of his "honor". Now Mark Antony truly believes that Brutus is an honorable man because he killed himself.
Motifs
Guilt- The guilt of killing Caesar eventually catches to all of the conspirators and thus, all of the conspirators die.
Full Circle- Brutus has come full circle through out the entire play. At first, he was an honorable man. The the conspirators got to him and he became a traitor. Then when he kills himself, he is an honorable man again.

Flaws in the plan-
The conspirators did not realize that Mark Antony and Octavius would unite in order to rule Rome.
Brutus did not realize that the guilt would catch up with him and he would commit suicide.
Character Shift-
Mark Antony goes from thinking that Brutus is a traitor, to genuinely thinking he was an honorable man.
Brutus realizes whad he did was wrong and he killed himself self in order to die with honor and glory.
Private View Of Caesar-
Brutus' private view of Caesar changed from Caesar being a tyrant, to being a good man that wanted the best for his country.
One Sentence (Summary Sentence)
The guilt, overshadowing Brutus, causes him to kill himself, therefore, Mark Antony views Brutus as an honorable man.
